Perform the sensor check every 25 000 operational kilometers. Replace the component in case of its breakdown. Don’t use the car with the sensor broken down – it can lead to the engine overheating.
When buying a new spare part pay attention to the marking applied to edges. It should be the same as at the component which is to be replaced. This marking points at the temperature of the sensor actuation.
Apply the thread of a new sensor with a sealing paste or a teflon tape to prevent antifreeze from leaking.
Avoid too intense tightening of the sensor in case of self-maintained component replacement.
